Didja Pale Ale
Didja pale ale was a recipe refined over two years while building the brewery. Battling -6 degree temperatures and no heating, we were able to come up with a unique New England beer that’s easy to drink even for those just getting their craft beer buds together.
Black Mountain Monster Dark Ale
Using a combination of Australian dark crystal malts and additions of other heavier roasted malts, this dark ale has the appearance of a porter but pulls up light in mouth feel and taste. It is flavoured predominantly by Goldings and Magnum Hops. It may even surprise those who don’t particularly like dark beers.
For the dark beer drinkers, it’s magic. A combination of luck and wizardry.
Great Hops IPA
If you love hoppy beers, try our double hopped IPA.
We combine European and American hops to give our beer a spicy start, and then combine our own farm grown Chinook and Cascade hops to balance the overall bitterness.
Our extra malty goodness gives the beer depth and increased alcohol content.
So wizards, don’t think of flying home on your brooms later as it will quickly put you over the limit.
Great Hops Bright Ale
An easy drinking sessional ale. It has reduced bitterness and a light floral aroma. It combines moderate pale malts and light tasting German hops. Perfect in both the warmer and freezing cold days in Armidale.
Around March every year, hops are picked from our very own hop yard. They are combined at every stage of the brewing process. With the changing cool weather, beers are brewed at a crisp autumn temperature ensuring clean finishes to beers experienced nowhere else in Australia.
